Course Overview:

The Operation theater Technician mainly assists the Anesthesiologist in preparing the patient for surgery, administrating and taking care of the anesthesia machine and airway equipment. Operating theater technicians prepare and maintain operating theaters and equipment's before a surgery.

Maintaining anesthesia record is also the responsibility of the technicians' The OT surgical equipment's like diathermy machine, endoscopic/laparoscopic/ arthroscopic equipment's are also under the care of OT Technicians.

OT technician can assist a surgeon while performing surgeries, they has an important role both in pro and post operative condition. An OT technician also has an important role in trauma centre during patient care inside the hospital.
